“AI gives us the freedom to explore more visual directions without having to organise a new production every time. We can create more content around each piece, test ideas faster and still keep the identity of the collection at the centre.”

Léa Montagne · Designer & Founder, Leone

Founded by designer Léa Montagne, Leone is a Paris-based womenswear house that combines sculptural silhouettes, asymmetry and layering with a strong focus on French craftsmanship and responsible production. Its collections include made-to-order pieces as well as unique upcycled garments.

For an independent fashion house, producing enough high-quality imagery for every piece is a challenge. Each additional shoot means models, styling, locations, photography and post-production, while e-commerce, campaigns and social media constantly ask for something new. Leone uses On-Model by PiktID to get more out of the product assets it already creates.

You can jump straight to the editorial scenes, or read on to see how the imagery is made.

From existing product assets to new visuals in hours

A traditional fashion production needs preparation, coordination and post-production before the final images are ready. Leone starts instead from an existing garment image, often a piece photographed on a studio form, and turns it into on-model imagery without organising another production.

For suitable use cases, this reduces the time needed to create additional visuals by up to 70%. New creative directions can be explored within hours instead of waiting for the next shoot.

Keeping the design at the center

For Leone, the garment is the hero. The designs are defined by distinctive cuts, layering, asymmetry, materials and construction details, and every generated image has to keep the character of the original piece: the draped panel of a shirt, the contrast piping of a pair of trousers, the way a top falls in layers.

Every result is reviewed before publication, and where a detail needs attention, such as hardware, a seam or a print, it can be refined on its own with Detail Repair instead of generating the whole image again.

One garment, many creative directions

For a design-led brand, experimentation is part of the creative process. Different poses, environments and visual directions can change how a garment is perceived, and traditionally those decisions have to be made before the shoot. AI gives Leone room to experiment afterwards. Using On-Model, with the Image Playground for one-off creative edits, the team takes pieces into editorial and campaign worlds, from a desert poolside to a gilded dressing room, and compares directions before committing to one.

One product asset can become the starting point for a clean e-commerce image, an editorial visual, a social media asset, a campaign concept or a new styling direction. For selected pieces, that means 2-3x more usable content without growing traditional production at the same rate.

Lower cost for supplementary content

A traditional fashion production may involve models, photographers, hair and makeup, styling, locations and retouching. For supplementary imagery, AI removes many of those steps, and depending on the use case Leone can reduce the cost of additional visual content by up to 80%. For an independent fashion house, where more content would otherwise demand a disproportionately large production effort, that makes it possible to grow visual output without growing budgets at the same rate.

The impact

For suitable content workflows, AI gives Leone the potential for:

  • Up to 70% faster creation of additional visual content
  • 2-3x more usable visuals per selected piece
  • Up to 80% lower cost for supplementary visual content

Rather than replacing the creative process, AI gives Leone another tool to extend it: more room to experiment, more content around every piece and a faster way to turn creative ideas into finished visuals.

Already live in the boutique

The imagery does not stay in a folder. The upcycled denim dress from the salon scenes above sells on Leone's own online boutique with on-model images created in On-Model, next to the brand's own photography.
