October Update: Bulk Colorways & Model Swap

Recolor product photos into every colorway with Garment Recolor templates, swap models with GPT Image 2.5 or Ideogram 4.5, and browse a cleaner Gallery.

By On-Model Team

This release is about scale and trust. You can now recolor product photos into every colorway of a collection in one run, swap the model in your photos without touching the garment, and find every result faster. Three updates are live in On-Model today:

  • Bulk Create for every tool, with colorway templates. Model Swap joins Flat to Model, Create Packshot and Garment Recolor, and a saved colour set turns one product page into every colorway you sell.
  • Model Swap, rebuilt for fidelity. Nine generation models to choose from, including GPT Image 2.5 and Ideogram 4.5, and an option that keeps your original garments pixel for pixel.
  • A cleaner Gallery and Jobs page. Fewer words, bigger images, and the actions you reach for most one click away.

Recolor product photos in bulk, every colorway in one run

A colorway is the same product in another colour, and every one of them needs its own product page: front, back, detail shots, all matching. Shooting each colour again is the slow, expensive way. Garment Recolor already recolors one garment across a set of photos. Bulk Create now does it across a whole collection.

Pick the colours or patterns once, and each product and colour pair becomes its own job: 20 products in 5 colours is one run of 100 jobs. Each job recolors that product's whole image set consistently, so the navy front shot and the navy back shot are the same navy.

Five colours on one product tag is five jobs. The counter always shows what the run will start.

Colours can be solid chips, a custom hex, a ready-made pattern (camo, denim, ditsy floral, leopard, polka dot) or your own swatch image. The Review step shows the credit estimate before anything runs.

Garment Recolor templates: save your colorways once

Most brands recolor into the same palette all season, so the colours belong in a template, not in your memory. A Garment Recolor template is a saved colour set: up to 10 colours or patterns, plus the garment to recolor and the settings.

Build one from Templates → Create template → Garment Recolor. Pick the colours, give each one a name (that is the name every job will show), and add instructions where a colour needs more than the colour itself, such as "matte finish" or "keep the white contrast stitching". If one colour applies to a different garment, set it right there. Creating a template is free.

Your colour set then sits on the Templates page with the rest of your templates, showing its colours and how many jobs it starts per product. The stack button on the card opens Bulk Create with the colour set already loaded, so next season's recolor starts with your tags and one click.

Build a colour set on the left, the saved template on the right: 5 colours, 5 jobs per product.

Already in the middle of a run? Save as template on the Colours & Patterns step saves the colours you just picked, and Start from a template loads a saved set.

Bulk Create now runs all four tools

Bulk Create starts one job per product tag with one shared setup, for up to 100 products per run. It now works with every processing tool in On-Model, so the in-app way to run a collection matches what teams already do with batch image processing over the API.

Four tools, one wizard.

Model Swap is the new one. Select the tags that hold your on-model photos, pick one identity, set the swap options once (size, variations, generation model, Match the original pixels) and start. Every product in the run comes back on the same model, which is what makes a collection look like one shoot.

Model Swap: nine models, original garments kept

Choose the model behind every swap

AI model swap replaces the person in your product photos with a different model while the clothes stay yours. It now offers the same choice of image generation models as the rest of On-Model. Open Advanced Options → Generation model on the last step and pick from GPT Image 2.5, GPT Image 2, Ideogram 4.5, Nano Banana 2.1, Nano Banana 2, Seedream 5.0 Pro and Seedream 4.5, alongside Onda, our own swap model. Or leave it on Auto, which picks the best model for your images.

Leave it on Auto, or pick one of eight named models, including GPT Image 2.5 and Ideogram 4.5.

Keep your garments exactly as photographed

A generated image is harmonious because the model redraws the whole frame, and that is also its risk: a stitch, a button or a print can drift. For a product page, the garment is the one thing that must not change.

So Model Swap has a new switch: Match the original pixels when possible. With it on, each image comes back in two versions:

  • Pixel-matched. Your photo's clothes, accessories and background stay exactly as you shot them. Only the model's face, skin and hair are new.
  • Generated. The fully regenerated image.
The black turtleneck is the original photo, knit and all. Only the face and hair are new, and Pixel-matched is one click from Generated.

On-Model only offers the Pixel-matched version when the generated image lines up with your photo. If the model's pose or body shifted too much, the image is marked Generated only and you get the full generation, so nothing is ever stitched together badly.

You can switch any image between Generated and Pixel-matched afterwards, from the image viewer or the job page. Switching is free and never regenerates anything.

The switch costs nothing extra and works with every model except Onda, which keeps the original garments by design.

A cleaner Gallery and Jobs page

Gallery: the images first

The Gallery now leads with what you came for. Each job is one row: its images on the left, and a slim panel on the right with the status, the tool, the model and when it was created. The long block of labels each job used to carry is gone.

The actions you use most sit in that panel as single buttons: Share copies a link to the job for a teammate, Download gets every finished image as one ZIP, Edit & Retry reopens the tool with the same settings already filled in, and Delete removes the job. open ↗ above the images takes you straight to the full job page.

Each job is one row. Share, Download, Edit & Retry and Delete are a click away.

Edit & Retry is the one to remember. Liked the result but want one more variation, a different model or a bigger size? Press it, change the one thing, and start. It works for Model Swap, Flat to Model, Create Packshot, Garment Recolor, Detail Repair and identity creation, including jobs that failed or that you stopped.

Jobs: what's running, and what's done

The Jobs page is now split in two. In progress sits at the top with a live card for every running job: a progress bar, how many images are done, and a Stop button. When nothing is running, the section disappears.

Below it, History groups finished jobs by day, Today, Yesterday and then by date, with a one-line summary such as "15 completed" for each day. Every card has a … menu with Share, Copy job ID, Edit & Retry and Delete, and a small notice tells you when a running job finishes or fails.

Running jobs on top, history by day below. Every job has the same four actions.

Search and Advanced Filters are on both pages: filter by status, tool, or yours versus shared, by date range on Jobs, and by tag in the Gallery.

Common questions

How do I recolor product photos into several colorways at once? Open Bulk Create, select your product tags, choose Garment Recolor and pick the colours, or load a Garment Recolor template. Each product and colour pair becomes one job, up to 100 jobs per run, and each job recolors that product's whole image set consistently.

What is a Garment Recolor template? A saved colour set of up to 10 colours, patterns or swatch images, with a name and optional instructions for each colour, plus the garment and settings. Build it under Templates → Create template → Garment Recolor or save it from Bulk Create. Creating one is free; you pay only for the images when you run it.

Can I change the model in product photos without changing the clothes? Yes. Turn on Match the original pixels when possible in Model Swap. Where the result lines up with your photo, the clothes, accessories and background stay exactly as shot and only the face, skin and hair are new.

Which AI models can Model Swap use? Auto, Onda, GPT Image 2.5, GPT Image 2, Ideogram 4.5, Nano Banana 2.1, Nano Banana 2, Seedream 5.0 Pro and Seedream 4.5. Start with Auto, and use Edit & Retry to compare another model on the same photos.

Does Match the original pixels cost extra? No. It costs nothing on any plan, and switching an image between Generated and Pixel-matched later is free too.

Why does an image say "Generated only"? The generated image didn't line up closely enough with your photo to keep the original pixels, usually because the pose or body shape changed. You get the full generation instead.

Which tools work with Bulk Create? All four: Flat to Model, Model Swap, Create Packshot and Garment Recolor.

Does Share make my images public? No. Share copies the link to the job page. Whoever opens it needs to be signed in and able to see the job, like a teammate in your group.
